Common Questions

Dream FAQ

Why does the Dream require two nights of testing?
Two nights of data give our physicians a more complete and accurate picture of your sleep patterns. Night-to-night variability is normal, so two data points help ensure a reliable diagnosis.
What makes the Dream device different from other sleep test devices?
The Dream device is a compact wrist-worn recorder that eliminates the need for a chest strap and nasal cannula. It uses advanced sensors to measure sleep patterns through the wrist and finger, making it one of the most comfortable home sleep test options available.
Do I need a prescription for the Dream device?
Yes. A physician order is required for all home sleep tests. If your doctor has referred you to us, we handle the rest. Call (877) 775-3377 if you need help coordinating.
What if I need to go to the bathroom during the night?
If you need to leave your bed and your phone, you can do so. Just make sure your phone is within range of the sensor when you get back in bed. You must be in bed for at least 4 hours to ensure a successful test.
Can I take the test if I have a cold?
Since the Dream device doesn't use a nasal cannula, mild congestion is less of an issue than with other devices. However, if you're significantly ill, it's best to reschedule. Call us at no charge.
How do I get my results?
We send the results to your doctor. Your doctor will discuss the results and next steps with you.
How long until the results are ready?
We usually send the results to your doctor within 2 weeks of you completing the second night of testing.
What if the finger sensor falls off during the night?
Simply reattach it and go back to sleep. As long as you get 4+ hours of valid data, the study is typically usable.
